CVE-2020-3914

Restricted-memory disclosure via improper kernel memory initialization

Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Kernel information disclosure in Apple iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS allows local users to read restricted memory through an application. The Kernel component exposes restricted memory because memory initialization is handled incorrectly; Apple has not published a finer-grained locus or operation. An affected release predating iOS 13.4, macOS Catalina 10.15.4, tvOS 13.4, or watchOS 6.2 and application execution are required; the consequence is read-only disclosure.
