Download origin misattribution via WebKit logic error
Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
A WebKit logic error in affected Apple platforms allows remote attackers to associate a download with the wrong origin. The flaw affects iOS and tvOS before 13.4, Safari before 13.1, iTunes for Windows before 12.10.5, and iCloud for Windows before 10.9.3 or legacy 7.18; Apple has not published the faulty WebKit operation. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled web content, and the demonstrated consequence is incorrect origin attribution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
