Out-of-bounds access in Apple ImageIO on affected releases allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PVR image. The PVR decoder has an apparent off-by-one error that writes an extra pixel row past its output buffer and performs a related out-of-bounds read. Exploitation requires an affected application or service to process the image; consequences are bounded by that process's sandbox and privileges.
