Code execution via use-after-free
Published Mar 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat and Reader 2015, 2017, and DC releases allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted document. Adobe identifies the defect only as a use-after-free and does not disclose the affected parser, object lifetime error, or input structure that triggers stale-memory access in builds through 2015.006.30510, 2017.011.30158, and 2020.006.20034. Exploitation requires a user to open malicious content, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
