Code execution via DICOM plugin out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 20.0.8 and earlier and Photoshop 2020 21.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The Dicom plugin decodes a malformed DCM file without a proper bounds check, causing an out-of-bounds write that can corrupt control flow. The crafted file must be processed by Photoshop; successful exploitation runs code in the application's current-user context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
