Code execution via crafted IFF CMAP value
Published Feb 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in Adobe FrameMaker 2019.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted IFF file. The IFF parser processes a crafted CMAP value and enters a memory-corruption condition within the FrameMaker process. Exploitation requires user interaction with a malicious page or file, and successful code runs with the current user's privileges.
