Buffer overflow in Tonec Internet Download Manager 6.38.12 allows local users to crash the application through the Scheduler. The Scheduler copies a 5,000-byte string pasted into the “Open the following file when done” field without enforcing the destination buffer size. Exploitation requires local interaction with the desktop interface and interrupts only the application process; no code execution or persistent system impact is reported.
