CVE-2020-37220Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrative access via exposed serial-derived default password

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Authentication bypass in Huawei HG630 V2 Home Gateway allows remote attackers to gain administrative access via its web interface. The unauthenticated /api/system/deviceinfo endpoint returns the device SerialNumber, whose last eight characters form the default password. Exploitation requires network reachability to the management interface and works while the serial-derived default credential remains unchanged.
