Application crash via oversized registration name
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Buffer overflow in Nsasoft DNSS Domain Name Search Software allows local users to crash the application through the registration dialog. The registration Name field copies a 1,000-character value without enforcing the destination buffer size, terminating the process. Exploitation requires interactive access to paste the generated payload and click OK; the documented consequence is a local application crash only.
