CVE-2020-37186Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via installer prefix injection

Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026

Code injection in Chevereto 3.13.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands through the web installer. The install endpoint writes the unvalidated db_table_prefix value into PHP configuration code, so a crafted prefix closes the string and adds file-writing PHP that creates a command shell. The installer must be reachable and the supplied database credentials must be valid; exploitation then runs commands with the web server's privileges.
