CVE-2020-37153Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote root execution via stored XSS chain

Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026

Stored XSS and command injection in ASTPP 4.0.1 allow remote attackers to execute commands as root through its web interface. SIP caller names are rendered without neutralizing SVG event handlers, enabling administrator-cookie theft; the stolen session can submit system commands through add-on installation. Successful root execution requires an administrator to render the stored payload and the default installer configuration to run web-created cron tasks as root.
