Administrative account creation via forged employee registration
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in HRSALE - The Ultimate HRM 1.1.8 allows remote attackers to add administrative users via a crafted web page. The /admin/employees/add_employee endpoint processes a cross-origin multipart POST containing attacker-selected account and role fields without establishing the administrator's intent. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the malicious form, after which the role=1 field creates an unauthorized privileged account.
