Arbitrary code execution via Computer field overflow
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in 10-Strike Network Inventory Explorer 8.54 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through the Add dialog. The Add operation copies an oversized Computer field value into a stack buffer, overwriting nSEH and SEH records after 211 bytes and redirecting execution through sqlite3.dll. Exploitation requires access to the local application and submission of the crafted field, with code running in the application's security context.
