Unauthenticated code execution via shell metacharacters
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
OS command injection in wcchandler Pinger 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through ping.php parameters. The ping and socket branches concatenate their GET values into shell command strings passed to shell_exec, allowing appended metacharacters to create executable PHP files. No authentication or user interaction is required; network access to ping.php is enough to run commands with the web server process's privileges.
