Application crash via oversized registration code

A stack-based buffer overflow in Nsasoft SpotFTP Password Recover 2.4.8 allows attackers to crash the application through its registration-code field. Processing a 1,000-character string of Z characters in the Key field overruns a stack buffer and terminates the process. Exploitation requires local interaction with the Windows graphical interface, and the documented consequence is limited to an application crash.
