CVE-2020-37120Public exploit

Code execution via server-name stack overflow

Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in Rubo Medical Imaging BV Rubo DICOM Viewer 2.0 allows attackers to execute code via an oversized server name. The DICOM server-name field accepts more than 1,868 bytes into a fixed stack buffer, letting crafted data replace the Structured Exception Handler and redirect execution. Exploitation requires active interaction with the Send DICOM Files configuration, and successful code runs with the viewer process privileges.
