Code execution via DNS Query buffer overwrite

Stack-based buffer overflow in NSAuditor 3.0.28 and 3.2.1.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through the DNS Lookup tool. The DNS Query field accepts a crafted 5,235-byte payload that overwrites nSEH and SEH with a three-byte executable address and redirects control to embedded shellcode. Exploitation requires access to the Windows desktop and a user to paste the payload into DNS Query and select Resolve; successful execution runs code in the application user context.
