Local privilege escalation via unquoted service path
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Unquoted service path handling in Flexense DiskSavvy Enterprise 12.3.18 allows local users to execute code with system privileges. The Disk Savvy Enterprise Windows service registers C:\Program Files\Disk Savvy Enterprise\bin\disksvs.exe without quotation marks, so Windows can select an attacker-planted executable at an earlier whitespace boundary. A local user who can write to a searched parent location and trigger service startup can run code as LocalSystem.
