Two-factor authentication bypass via password-bound token reuse
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Authentication token reuse in EspoCRM 5.7.0 through 5.8.x allows remote authenticated users to bypass two-factor authentication. Espo.php maps authentication tokens to password hashes instead of unique users, so a controlled account's token is accepted for another account sharing that password. Exploitation requires a valid controlled account and password reuse with the victim, after which the victim's data and privileges become accessible.
