CVE-2020-37092Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root access via hardcoded credentials

Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026

Hardcoded credentials in Netis E1+ 1.2.32533 allow remote attackers to obtain root access to the range extender. The firmware embeds a predefined root account and protects it with a password hash weak enough to crack, making the resulting credentials reusable. No prior authentication or user interaction is required; successful use grants full administrative control of the network device.
