Database backup disclosure via web-accessible archive path
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Unauthenticated file access in webERP 4.15.1 allows remote attackers to download database backup archives over HTTP. BackUpDatabase.php writes timestamp-named SQL archives beneath the web-accessible companies/weberp/ directory, where direct URL requests receive the files without an authorization check. The attacker must know or infer a backup timestamp; a successful request discloses the database contents, including data and credentials stored in the backup.
