Administrator deletion via cross-origin POST request
Published Feb 6, 2026 · Updated Feb 6, 2026
CSRF in Wing FTP Server 6.2.6 allows attackers to delete an administrator account through the web administration interface. The admin_delete_admin.html handler accepts a cross-origin POST while cgiadmin.lua fails to reject requests whose Referer does not match Host. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to load a crafted HTML page, and deleting the administrator forces reinstallation to restore administrative access.
