Code execution via import filename buffer overflow
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Buffer overflow in LizardSystems Remote Desktop Audit 2.3.0.157 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted import file. The Add Computers Wizard copies oversized attacker-controlled text from its import filename field into a fixed-size buffer, enabling an SEH overwrite. Execution requires a local user to open the wizard and paste the payload into that field, after which shellcode runs with the application's privileges.
