Unauthenticated server crash via oversized LIST argument
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Buffer overflow in Konica Minolta FTP Utility 1.0 allows remote attackers to crash the FTP server through a crafted LIST command. The LIST handler processes an approximately 1,500-byte argument without enforcing a safe length, overwriting CPU registers and terminating the server process. The vendor-documented configuration permits anonymous access on TCP port 21; the public artifact demonstrates a crash, while code execution remains unproven.
