CVE-2020-37063Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via unquoted service path

Published Feb 1, 2026 · Updated Feb 1, 2026

Unquoted service path handling in Weird Solutions TFTP Turbo 4.6.1273 allows local users to execute code with LocalSystem privileges. The Windows service named TFTP Turbo 4 registers C:\Program Files\TFTP Turbo 4\tftpt.exe without quotation marks, causing Windows to search parent paths for an executable. A local low-privileged user who can place a crafted executable in a searched parent directory gains code execution when the auto-start service launches.
