Arbitrary file upload via forged administrator request
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Navigate CMS 2.8.7 allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files through an authenticated administrator's session. The extension upload workflow processes a forged request carrying an attacker-controlled extension without verifying that the administrator initiated it. An authenticated administrator must visit the crafted HTML page; the resulting write installs attacker-supplied extension content.
