Local code execution via unchecked Load input
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Buffer overflow in RM Downloader 2.50.60 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through crafted input in the Load parameter. The unchecked Load copy overruns its buffer and replaces SEH control data, using RDutility02.dll to redirect execution to an egg hunter. Exploitation requires DEP to be disabled and a user to paste the payload, click OK, and dismiss two prompts; code runs with the application's privileges.
