Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked download path
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Path traversal in HelloWeb 2.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through crafted download.asp query parameters. The handler concatenates unvalidated filepath and filename values with the mapped web root, then passes the result to ADODB.Stream.LoadFromFile. No authentication is shown in the published request; successful access discloses readable configuration and system files but does not establish write or execution capability.
