Authenticated code execution via Lua console
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
OS command injection in Wing FTP Server 6.3.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the web console. The /admin_lua_.html handler accepts POSTed Lua in the command parameter and evaluates attacker-supplied os.execute() calls on the host. A valid administrative web session is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the Wing FTP Server service process's privileges.
