Code execution via Output Folder buffer overflow
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Classic buffer overflow in Socusoft Photo to Video Converter Professional 8.07 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The Output Folder field copies a 2,000-byte crafted string without a sufficient bounds check, overwriting exception-handling data after 304 bytes. Exploitation requires interactive access to paste the payload into Video Output and click Open; successful code runs in the application user's context.
