Stored JavaScript execution via unsanitized form fields
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Stored XSS in Forma LMS 2.3.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through course or profile fields. Course editing stores unencoded course_code, course_name, course_box_descr, and course_descr values, while profile email filtering can be bypassed, causing saved input to run when rendered. Course-field injection requires administrator access; profile injection requires a signed-in profile, and viewing the saved content triggers code in the application origin.
