LocalSystem escalation via unquoted service path
Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026
Unquoted service path in Wondershare Driver Install Service 10.7.1.321 allows local users to gain LocalSystem privileges. The ElevationService registration stores an unquoted executable path under Program Files, so Windows can resolve an attacker-planted executable before the intended binary. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and write access to an earlier path location; service startup then executes the planted code as LocalSystem.
