Authenticated code execution via unrestricted file rename
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in PDW File Browser 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code on the web server. The upload handler accepts a text webshell, and actions.php renames it from .txt to .php at a double-encoded traversal path without constraining the extension or destination. Any authenticated user who can reach the file-browser interface can place an executable webshell in a web-accessible directory and run server-side code.
