CVE-2020-36960Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped profile names

Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Jan 26, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in Forma LMS 2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The user-profile editor stores unsanitized first- and last-name values, and profile rendering inserts those values into a page without neutralizing script markup. An account capable of editing its profile is required; the payload runs when a profile is viewed and can act within the viewer's Forma LMS session.
