Local file disclosure via portfolio PDF export
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Server-side request forgery in ILIAS 4.3 through 5.1 allows attackers to read local files through portfolio PDF export. The portfolio PDF export renderer executes injected script content and permits its XMLHttpRequest to retrieve local-file contents. Attackers must place active script content in a portfolio processed by the exporter, and disclosure is limited to files readable by that process.
