Local privilege escalation via unquoted service path
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Unquoted service paths in Flexense DiskPulse Enterprise 13.6.14 allow local users to execute code with LocalSystem privileges. The Windows service registers C:\Program Files\Disk Pulse Enterprise\bin\diskpls.exe without quotation marks, so service startup can select an attacker-planted executable at a space-delimited prefix. A low-privileged local user needs the ability to plant an executable in a searched path prefix; successful execution grants control under the service account.
