Session hijacking via unrestricted HTML material URLs
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Remote file inclusion in Sony BRAVIA Digital Signage 1.7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject client-side scripts. The /api/content-creation endpoint accepts an unauthenticated HTML material URL and embeds its remote content without restricting the source or script types. Execution occurs when an operator previews or displays the crafted material, enabling session hijacking and unauthorized changes to displayed content.
