Out-of-bounds memory access via audio integer underflow
Published Jan 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds memory access in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio components allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via modified content. The closed-source audio path underflows an integer while processing the content, causing an access outside the intended memory bounds. No privileges or user interaction are required, but public sources do not establish whether exploitation yields code execution, disclosure, or only a crash.
