CVE-2020-36908Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Super user creation via unvalidated adminusers POST

Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Secure Computing SnapGear Management Console SG560 3.1.5 allows attackers to create a super user account. The /cgi-bin/cgix/adminusers handler accepts a cross-origin POST containing account fields and administrative ACL flags without validating the request origin or a CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in console user to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the forged account receives full administrative privileges.
