CVE-2020-36882Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application crash via oversized directory input

Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Dec 8, 2025

Improper input handling in Flexense DiskBoss 7.7.14 allows remote attackers to crash the application through a crafted directory value. The Search Files dialog accepts a roughly 7,000-character string in its Add Input Directory field and crashes when the value is submitted. The public proof of concept requires interactive access to the Windows GUI, while the CNA rates the flaw as network reachable; published evidence does not reconcile the conflict.
