SQL injection via unsanitized trap-edit parameters
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
SQL injection in Nagios XI before 5.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter backend database queries through the SNMP Trap Interface. The edit-page parameter handler passes crafted administrative input into SQL statements without proper sanitization, permitting unauthorized reads, writes, or arbitrary SQL execution. Administrative access to the affected web interface is required, and the documented impact is confined to application data and the backend database.
