Database reset via missing capability check
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024
Authentication bypass in ThemeGrill Demo Importer 1.3.4 through 1.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to reset the WordPress database. The reset_wizard_actions function processes the do_reset_wordpress request without a capability check and invokes the site's database-reset routine. Any logged-in account can erase site data, and an existing username of admin causes the requester to receive an administrator session.
