Subscriber content manipulation via missing capability checks
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster 4.3.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter site content. Multiple privilege-sensitive plugin functions accept subscriber requests without capability checks, exposing post deletion, arbitrary social publishing, and settings updates. Subscriber access is sufficient; changed plugin settings can also expose some functions to remote attackers without accounts.
