Denial of service in GNOME Glade before 3.38.1 and 3.39.x before 3.40.0 allows attackers to crash the application via a crafted project file. The post-creation path in plugins/gtk+/glade-gtk-box.c incorrectly rebuilds a GladeGtkBox while opening the file and encounters invalid widget state. Exploitation requires a local user to open the file in Glade; the documented consequence is termination of that Glade process, without reported data disclosure or modification.
