Coupon metadata modification via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Brian Jessee Coupon Creator 3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify coupon meta fields. The save_meta() handler writes submitted coupon metadata from forged administrator requests without valid nonce verification. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to activate attacker-controlled content; the resulting write is limited to coupon metadata.
