CVE-2020-36745Network attack vector

Admin-triggered updates via missing nonce validation

Published Jul 1, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in WP Project Manager 2.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger plugin updates via a forged request. The do_updates() function processes an update request without valid WordPress nonce verification, so a request originating from another site is accepted. Exploitation requires a site administrator to interact with attacker-controlled content, and the resulting action changes the site's installed software.
