Forged conversion generation via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 1, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in NotificationX 1.8.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to generate conversions through a forged request. The generate_conversions() function processes the request and invokes conversion-generation logic without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or perform an equivalent forged action, and the resulting integrity impact is limited to generated conversion data.
