Data exposure and deactivation via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in NiteoThemes CMP 3.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read posts, export subscribers, or disable CMP. Three AJAX handlers expose post content, generate subscriber CSV data, or change the plugin status without the required capability checks. Post reading and deactivation accept unauthenticated requests; subscriber export requires an authenticated account, while deactivation also requires the configured countdown action.
