Authenticated settings modification via faulty admin check
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper authorization in ThemeFuse Brizy – Page Builder before 1.0.126 allows remote authenticated users to update site settings. The is_administrator() function treats WordPress's is_admin() administrative-screen context test as proof that a logged-in caller is an administrator. Subscriber-level access therefore reaches protected AJAX actions and changes settings without the capabilities those actions require.
