Unauthenticated administrator access via unrestricted REST routes
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in FluxBuilder MStore API 2.1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or modify administrator accounts. FlutterUser.php registers the register and update_user_profile REST routes without access controls; register accepts a caller-supplied role, while update_user_profile accepts any user ID. No authentication or user-registration setting is required on these WordPress REST routes, enabling account takeover or administrative access.
